David A. Blum, M.D. is a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with a Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand. He has been in practice in Plantation, Florida since 2002. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida where he became an invited member of the academic honor society, Phi Beta Kappa.

Dr. Blum received his medical degree at the University of Florida in 1994. After completing a surgical internship at Orlando Regional Medical Center, Dr. Blum spent a year doing orthopaedic research. He has published articles in respected orthopaedic journals. He then completed an Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ)-New Jersey Medical School (1996-2001).

Dr. Blum went on to further training by completing a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. He learned the latest surgical techniques and treatments at one of the world's leading medical centers.

After completing his fellowship in 2002, Dr. Blum returned to Florida and developed a successful orthopaedic practice treating hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder disorders in children and adults
